SigenStor supports bi-directional EV charging, allowing you to charge your electric vehicle (EV) with up to 25 kW, the highest power output offered by a home energy system. Whether you want to power your home or participate in grid services, SigenStor is ready for future vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities.
- V2X functionality: In V2H mode, SigenStor can direct energy from an electric vehicle back to home appliances, while in V2G mode it can participate in peak load shifting and energy trading, helping to stabilize the grid and increase its flexibility. However, this function is dependent on the electric vehicle's capabilities and will be fully activated once the relevant standards are published. Future updates will be available via over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Unlike traditional systems that provide only a fraction of their nominal off-grid power, SigenStor delivers 100% of its nominal output power, ensuring uninterrupted power supply during an outage.
- Immediate emergency power supply: When paired with the Sigen Energy Gateway, the SigenStor can immediately switch to emergency mode, delivering power to critical loads without any delay. The gateway also supports connection to a diesel generator for additional backup options.
Advanced battery technology
SigenStor uses LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) cells with a capacity of 280 Ah, offering several advantages over conventional battery solutions:
- Higher reliability and safety: The 280 Ah cells have a lower voltage of 32.85 volts, significantly reducing safety risks compared to conventional solutions that use 100 Ah or smaller cells, which can raise the battery voltage above 91 volts.
- Extended lifespan: The 280 Ah cells also have a longer lifespan, so the energy storage system remains reliable for many years.
In addition, SigenStor' s parallel battery connection design allows flexible mixing and matching of new and old battery packs, and built-in battery optimizers reduce mismatch losses and extend system life.
